My daughter's best friend Audrey was modeling one of my new dresses for fun and these beautiful flowers caught here eye!I loved how they matched the dress so well!
Early in January my daughter and I met up with friends at the beach for girl time and I caught this picture of the sun setting into the Pacific Ocean....right into my daughter's hand!

Living in Chicago for the past 8 years, I have found my pace of life speed up and my connection with the outdoors slow down. On a recent trip to Northern California, I found my inner peace again. How easy it is to forget the healing power of the setting sun, the magical radiance of a redwood forest, and the crashing waves on an empty beach. Our Mother Earth's splendors unfolded before me and I am grateful, restored, and empowered.

The Parklands of Floyds Fork Project in Jefferson County, Kentucky is on budget and on schedule. This massive project is one of the nations's largest urban parks developments. 3700 acres have been assembled for this project, which is scheduled for completion in 2015. Linking the sections of the park will be a 105 mile recreational path around metro Louisville.

I came across this sculpture in Art Alley, in downtown Rapid City, SD. The entire alley is filled with artwork – every single inch of space!

Although we live in a condo, and I struggle to find ways to maintain a container garden and do the eco-friendly things that I want to do, we have other benefits, and watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean every night is one of them.

Lately, I have been enjoying the bald eagles in the area. They are SO beautiful, and I really enjoy watching them soar over the pastures. I was able to get close enough to get a quick shot before it took off. We are also experiencing a migration of snowy owls. I have yet to see one, but my eyes are pealed!
